Sogut Hotel Old City

People mention Omar - he is the best thing about the hotel. Other than reception staff, nobody speaks anything other than Turkish. Good location for wholesale shopping in Lalali, but not for nightlife and tourist attractions.

Skip the breakfast, you will have a much better meal outside of the hotel. Other than the reception staff, nobody speaks anything other than Turkish - ordering a Coke Zero at breakfast was a challenge. NOT a 4 star hotel!

Staff were helpful, and room was very clean and tidy. The location was also fine.

Few things that i think can make the hotel much better. Despite the room was clean, there was a smell which was not good. also the room lighting had some issue.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was clean, and the bed was comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was good.

The breakfast room is somewhat small, so it can feel a little crowded at peak times

Centralised Aircon but well the hotel mention they are gonna improve it. just open the windows for cold air. cupboard are squeaky, a little oiling may help. I am writing here to help the hotel improve. Over all I would stay there again. It meets all the criteria of a 4 star hotel and booking it last minute at such good prices is something that we needed ( as we shifted from another hotel that had no water )

I liked the receptionists, they were very welcoming. Also the location of the hotel was great and close to all the important places and the transportation points.

The breakfast was not that good. Also room is very small and not clean, I asked many times to clean the room properly but they don't.

Great hotel in a calm area near administration and metro. Everything was great: room, staff, breakfast, especially the price. Special thanks to Mr. Etem!

Hotel close to the main attractions. Staff very nice and helpful, especially mr. Etem who was very kind and helped us with the lovely Bosphorus cruise and airport transfer. Also very clean hotel with good breakfast.

Location was so good. Breakfast was good. Room was clean. Staffs were friendly.

Cigarette smell was in our room and also There was a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom.We didn’t have any view from the window.

This hotel is one of the most beautiful hotels in Istanbul for its price! We almost always stay at this hotel when we come to Istanbul.The renovation of this hotel is good, the breakfast is super,the location is very close to the Vezneciler metro station, the Aksaray tram stop is close, there are many shops and cafes and restaurants around this hotel. However, despite this, the area around this hotel is very quiet and safe!This hotel is located in the Old City, in the center, you can walk to all the historical, sightseeing and sightseeing places.Almost all these places are close to this hotel!The hotel staff Memduh,Ali Rza,Saleh and others are very professional in their work, especially brother Memduh! I recommend this hotel to everyone!This hotel is a super hotel!

Everything was fine. Clean rooms, good breakfast, perfect location.

Good location and comfortable bed.

Shower was not good, water was leaking out and all floor was wet. Breakfast could be better.

Nice hotel in great area, close to the old center (20 mins walk). Staff very friendly and always ready to help or put a smile on your face :). Parking in fron of the hotel is 10 euro/day. Rooms are quite big and also the bathrooms. Halls are carpeted, there are 2 elevators and everything is clean all the time. Breakfast is good.

At 10.00 sharp they start gathering the food from the buffet so dont be late for breakfast ;). It would be nice if the workers would wait at least until 10.15 before they start cleaning and if the omlet would be available even though is 9.50.

Clean, pleasant, close to metro station (Istanbul is a big city), staff helpful, you can leave bags after checkout until plane. Varied breakfast. Good matress, hotwater pressure ok.

If you have an issue with that, the furniture is a bit outdated.

Friendly staff, made you feel comfortable

We had the family room, and the single bed wasn’t stabled.

Cozy hotel with good location. Clean bathroom with facilities. I had room on the first floor and my window view wasn’t the best but I stayed 1 night and it wasn’t important for me

During the breakfast there’s not enough space for visitors and i ate on the terrace with cats some people smoked

I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights, and it was an absolute disappointment. The bathroom smelled awful the entire time, making the stay unbearable. The cleanliness was nonexistent—if there was a rating below zero, this place would deserve it.The staff was unhelpful and lacked any sense of cooperation. It felt like they didn’t care about guest comfort at all. Given the poor hygiene, bad service, and overall unpleasant experience, I would never stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Save your money and book elsewhere!

The staff is very friendly and professional.The hotel is well located. Very clean and nice furnished.

If the room could have been a bit bigger, would be awesome.

I liked everything from the food to the staffs , especially Mr Emet , one of the nicest and the most welcoming people I highly recommend this hotel
